What happens after my interview?
After your interview, our recruiter will reach out with next steps. Interviews are cohort-style, but if you’d prefer a one-on-one interview, that option is available.
How is pay structured?
Pay is hourly unless otherwise discussed during your interview.
Do all BCBA roles start full-time?
All roles start part-time. To reach full-time status, you need to hit 108 hours per month for two consecutive months. After that, you can grow to a full-time caseload at your own pace.
Are BCBA roles in-person or telehealth?
Primarily, all roles are telehealth, though we also have school-based cases.
What populations or clients will I be working with?
You’ll work with a variety of clients in need of ABA services, including school-based cases. Our Case Managers will share all available cases so you can choose the ones that fit your schedule and experience.
How are clients assigned?
Our Case Managers and BCBA Coordination team reach out with all available cases and help you select the ones that fit your schedule and preferences. We never pressure you to take on cases—you control your caseload.
Can I control my caseload?
Yes! You can start with as few as one case and build your caseload over time.
Is there a maximum number of cases I can take on?
No, there’s no maximum. You can grow your caseload at a pace that works for you.
When are client sessions typically scheduled?
Sessions are usually in the afternoon or evening, giving you flexibility throughout the day.
Will BK Behavior help with LBA and credentialing processes?
Yes! We’ll walk you through both the LBA and credentialing processes. Training begins once you are submitted with credentialing for the insurance companies we work with.
Can I train and work at the same time?
Yes! Once you’re credentialed with the insurance companies we work with, you can train and work simultaneously.
Who will supervise me?
You will be supervised by our Clinical Director, who provides guidance, support, and mentorship.
Are there opportunities for mentorship or peer support?
Yes, you’ll have access to mentorship from the Clinical Director and support from our BCBA Coordination team and peers.
Does BK Behavior offer referral bonuses for BCBAs?
Yes! We offer a referral bonus for BCBAs who refer qualified candidates to join our team.
Does BK Behavior support continuing education or professional growth?
Absolutely. We host CEU events, support certifications, and encourage professional development.
How long before I can grow to a full-time caseload?
After reaching 108 hours per month for two consecutive months, you can grow your caseload to full-time based on your schedule and availability.
Are there reimbursements for out-of-state LBAs?
Yes! After 120 days, we reimburse the cost of any LBAs you bring in from outside your state.
What is the relationship between BK Behavior and sister companies?
BK Behavior is the parent company. All other entities are sister companies, giving you access to a network of resources and support.
Who will guide me through onboarding?
You’ll have a designated HR representative who walks you through every step of the onboarding process and answers any questions you may have.

How does training work at BK Behavior?
We use a cohort training model composed of 14 hours spread over six months. You can choose which topics you’d like to be trained in.
Can I count administrative hours toward my schedule?
Yes! You can complete admin hours at the unbillable rate with approval from the Clinical Director.
Are there opportunities for career growth?
Yes! Over ten BCBAs have transitioned into more executive roles within BK Behavior and our sister companies.
How do I apply or get started?

Are there any other tips for candidates preparing to join BK Behavior?
Be proactive, ask questions during the interview, and take advantage of our mentorship and resources. Starting with one case is fine—focus on learning and building confidence before expanding your caseload.
Where can I update my tax information?
Please log in to the Empeon ESS portal, navigate to Personal Information or Tax Information (the label may vary), and update your tax information as needed.
Do I have PTO? Where can I view how many hours I have accrued?
Only full-time employees are eligible to accrue PTO. Part-time employees are not eligible for PTO. PTO accruals begin on the employee’s full-time effective date and renew annually on the anniversary of the transition to full-time status.
At this time, employees are unable to view PTO balances directly. HR can confirm the amount of PTO accrued upon request. To request PTO, eligible employees must complete a PTO request form, indicating the number of hours requested and the corresponding dates.
How can I become a full-time employee? What benefits would I be eligible for?

What is Keeper and how does Same Day Pay work?
Keeper is an app that allows providers to access a portion of their earned wages on the same day. After submitting and clocking out of sessions in Rethink, part of the earned pay becomes available for withdrawal in the Keeper app. The remaining balance is paid on the regular payroll date.
Are there fees and limits when using Keeper?
Yes. Keeper charges a $4.95 transaction fee per withdrawal. Employees may withdraw up to 75% of their net earnings, with a maximum of $200 per day.
